OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM

Early education plays a vital role in a child’s development, yet many impoverished children in Armenia do not have access to proper pre-school institutions. Recognizing that early education is key to advancement in grade school and beyond, FCN is committed to supporting kindergartners by providing a safe and healthy learning environment.

To give children the opportunity of both growth and independence through education, and suitable physical activity in a safe environment

Action

Install playgrounds to ensure a safe environment for kindergartners to play and grow.

Donate Beds and bedding to kindergartens.
You may ask, why beds and bedding? In Armenia, the number of beds in a kindergarten dictate the number of children that can enroll; additionally, most beds in kindergartens are dated from the soviet era, which were constructed with toxic material. Donating beds and bedding addresses both the limited enrollment, due to the lack of beds, and the safety and health issues for every kindergarten.

Impact

The donation of beds and bedding has increased kindergarten registration by 100%. The children are able to nap in brand new, non-toxic beds and bedding, which promotes a healthier and safer environment.

The playgrounds we have installed provide a safe space for physical activity with a direct impact on healthier growth.

How You Can Help

Sponsor a playground, beds, or furniture for a kindergarten 

Beds with bedding and furniture for a classroom of 30 children – $5,500

Each playground costs:
$4,400 for kindergartens up to 60 children
$5,500 for kindergartens up to 90 children
$6,600 for kindergartens with over 90 children
