Bardzravan (Armenian: Բարձրավան) village is located in the Goris Municipality of the Syunik Province, 250 KM from Yerevan (approximately 4.5hrs drive).

The population of the village is 105, with 30 households. The resident’s main source of income is farming and agriculture. As a result of the trilateral agreement signed after 44 days of the war in Artsakh, the Zangelan region was transferred to Azerbaijan. It borders on the Syunik region of Armenia and is now undergoing a process of demarcation along the administrative borders of the Soviet era. As a result, the road between the cities of Goris and Bardzravan Village of the Syunik region crosses the Azerbaijani territory.

The village has one school (1-9 grade) with 6 students. The village has not had a kindergarten since the first Artsakh war, recently the Goris Municipality has been renovating two rooms in the former Gyughabetaran to be used as a kindergarten. Once the renovation is complete, they will require furniture to open the kindergarten.

The municipality requested 10 beds with bedding and furniture (closets, tables, chairs, and shelves) to open its doors to 9 kindergarteners, including 3 children from displaced families, in the Bardzavan village.

Opening the kindergarten will provide hope to the residents, secure full-time employment for 2-3 residents of the village, and provide the opportunity for mothers to work and earn money while the children are attending kindergarten.
