Paruyr Sevak village is located in the Ararat region, just 63 kilometers from Yerevan. The population in the village is 820 people, with 181 households, making it one of the smallest villages we’ve ever serviced. The main source of income in the village is farming and agriculture. There is one school with 76 students, but no functioning kindergarten. This year, the Paros Foundation ended up renovating the old kindergarten so that they could reopen. The kindergarten needed 30 beds and furniture to furnish the newly renovated classroom, which FCN was more than happy to provide! By donating the new beds and furniture, the group of 30 kindergarten students can attend school in a healthy and warm environment, working towards a better future. Additionally, in this village there are no parks or playgrounds for children to play, so the principal of the kindergarten requested a playground. This playground will help the kindergarten students to exercise and have a happier and healthier childhood growing up.
