Dashtakar (Armenian: Դաշտաքար) is a village in the Ararat Province of Armenia. The economy of the town is predominantly based on agriculture. 53 KM from Yerevan, with a population of 561 living in 175 households, the village of Dashtakar has 1 school (1-12 grade) with 82 students. After years of not having a kindergarten, finally in September of 2019, the newly constructed kindergarten opened its doors to 25 children. Although the kindergarten was fully furnished, it was truly not fully completed because it was lacking a playground for the children to play and stay active. The community requested a playground to be installed in the kindergarten yard.
