Yeghegnut (Եղեգնուտ) village is in the Lori region 140km (about 2 hours’ drive) away from Yerevan. The population in this area is 1,228 with 350 households. The main occupation in the village is farming.
The village has one school (K-12) with 90 students and a small kindergarten with 15 students. The kindergarten was recently renovated, and they are now ready to expand the kindergarten with a new group of 15 students.
The community requested 15 beds with bedding, furniture, and new cabinets for the kitchen.
Additionally, the gugabed approached us and requested a community playground, as there is no place to play for any of the children.
The cost for 15 beds with bedding and furniture is $2,250, and the kitchen cabinets is $1,000.
The cost for the community playground is $4,400.
