City of Smile x FCN, Palliative Care Unit, Yerevan

Launched in 1947, the Hematology Center diagnoses, treats, and dispensary patients under the control of widowed lymph node diseases.

 There is also a Blood Bank equipped with modern equipment in line with international standards, which coordinates the work of all departments of the RA Blood Service and provides organizational and methodological assistance.

The Hematology Center employs experienced specialists trained in Armenia and abroad. In 2015, one building was renovated.

Starting in 2018, the “City of Smiles” charity foundation was created to help people with cancer and blood diseases. Our mission is to be by their side, to help them and their families go through the difficult path of overcoming cancer with dignity.

In 2020 it was decided to renovate one part of the hospital for palliative care, which includes 5 hospital rooms with all amenities, a kitchen, a game room, a doctors’ room.

FCN provided the furniture for all the rooms, and the project was successfully completed in February 2021
